Robert Shaw, born in Southeast Indiana and raised in a musical family, began performing at the age of ten when he discovered the trumpet. As a freshman in high school he realized that musical theatre was his true passion and began studying voice, acting, and dancing. Shaw attended the University of The Arts in Philadelphia, which prepared him for new opportunities In 1998 Robert accepted an offer to perform the role of Elvis, The King of Rock and Roll, at the historic Gaslight Theatre in Tucson, Arizona. Robert’s dark hair, full range voice, and“Elvis Eyes” all combined for a tremendous audience response that led him to create a series of specialized Elvis programs, celebrating the many musical and visual stages of Elvis’ career. Robert Shaw’s “Celebration of Elvis” is available to venues throughout the United States and abroad. A symphony orchestra program of Elvis’ most popular hit tunes has been charted by leading industry professionals to offer symphonies and their audiences an even more dynamic, fun-filled, and memorable musical experience. According to recent polls by both CBS and ABC News, 42% of all Americans call themselves Elvis fans- including a whopping 66% of 55-64 year olds.
